Shopping as Past Time

Shopping is word which has totally changed its meaning what it was about 50 years ago. It is no longer applicable for purchase of essential goods for the day to day running of the family. The word cannot be applied for buying food items, clothing for day to day wear footwear etc. To the upper middle class and those above them it only means buying things whether it is required or not, such people go for “shopping” as a habit and way of spending time.Malls and super markets are supposed to be indicators of a thriving economy. Shopping in malls has several advantages for a person for whom it is a past time. They are not just shopping complexes. There are several movies screens showing the latest films. There are several food courts where one eat to his to his hearts content where he can eat any food he prefers. The food court itself consists of several restaurants, offering a variety of choice of food. There are recreational facilities with indoor games. There are only crèches to look after tiny tots.With all the facilities you cannot blame a person if he seems that he considers shopping as a past time. Many people do a little shopping, and spend the time enjoying the other facilities.
