Shopping for Seasons
Though people go shopping throughout the year there are some seasons which are specially marked by a great spurt in shopping activity. In countries like India there is a particular period of a year which is called marriage season. It is usual people for people in all countries to go for shopping for new clothes on their New Year days and also national days. 1st of January every year is the officially accepted New Year day all over the world and it is not surprising that many people go shopping for new clothes on that occasion.However, this sort of shopping is limited to purchase of clothes and no other item is involved. It is an entirely a different picture when it comes to Christmas season. In fact, it is the season many people eagerly look forward to. The reason is the attractive shopping and not the religious significance of the occasion. Shopping involves purchase of clothes, gifts for near and dear ones, decoration for the house, cakes and special foods.Shops bulge with unmanageable crowds. The shopping starts well before the start of the season and continue well after the season is over. In fact, in many areas the shopping season starts as early as October with people eager to avoid the December rush.
